A Month...

This last month has been a month.  A hard month, a good month, a busy month, a milestone month, a time for remembering how good and faithful God is month, a month to get back to our routine, a month that things change.  It's just that time of year.

For starters, SCHOOL started again!

Griffin is old enough for Kindergarten but we decided with the summer birthday that he would just do Pre-K this year and he loves it!  He thrives at school and loves to learn new things and especially be around other kids.  It is not too hard for me to release him to this because I know how happy it makes him to just be in the mix.  School sits good with Griff.  I'm impressed with how much educationally he's doing and his teacher told us the other day that he has had awesome behavior despite the chaos in the classroom at times.  Makes my heart happy...even though it might not always be that way at home, haha, it is a small parenting victory!!!  Beanie as you can see by the pic also thinks he's going somewhere...tears ensued the first week every time we dropped off Griffy.  He loves and wants to be just like his big brother.  Luckily he started a little one day a week preschool class on Fridays and seemed to love it last week!

We finished out the summer with a swim at "Mary Lou's pool" on a beautiful afternoon!  All 3 kiddos swam and played in the pool at the country club where we had our wedding reception.  Wonder if that starry eyed bride could have imagined that!!??!!  So that and a great labor day weekend at the lake closed out the summer!  And just like that, cooler temperatures have finally seemed to sweep in and we are starting to settle into routine and pumpkin candles and Fall!!  And with Fall, out came our pumpkins and Halloween decore!  I LOVE this time of year and have already gotten a few fally shoots of my little "pumpkin patch"!!

A nightly request is made for these skeleton PJs that glow in the dark!  In fact Crosbi Lu scared us one night when we woke up, forgot she was wearing them and saw a strange glow coming from her bassinet!  Ha ha!

This last month has also been quite a time for me. I seemed to have hit a patch of postpartum, with hair falling out, no sleep, lots of trouble with blood sugars and a few other things going on I was really at a low.  Thankfully God provided just the right people, circumstances and timing of things so I was able to pop right back up and am feeling much better.  Still working on the blood sugars, but that's a constant battle.  It did provide me a great opportunity to really depend on the Lord, because I knew only he could get me back to feeling myself, and I am thankful for the chance to be awed and amazed at him again working in my life.  Especially though my amazing hubby & mom who always know just the encouragement I need.  God sure picked out just the right people for my life!!

And with beautiful Fall days all bundled up with this little smile, who can really complain, right??
We have a busy few weekends ahead for us and we're really looking forward to getting in more FALL...pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING, Husker football, hoodies, apples and cooler temps are just hitting the spot right now!!
