2 months, 2 kids, 2 boys....2, is our magic number this month!

We'll we have survived 2 months having 2 precious little children who happen to belong to us!!??!! AH! I am amazed some days that we make it through...haha! All mothers feel this way, I know. Other days having both boys at home seems flawless and easy. Either way now days filled with Griffin and Sawyer seem meant to be, a perfect jumble of life's day to day messes...a world that I can't imagine not living in.

We are also entering our second season, Fall as a family of 4 & with that comes lots of great things I can't wait to share with the boys...in fact we already have Halloween costumes and even attempted to go to a pumpkin patch but got rained out! We are fully engaged now in Husker Football & have dressed each family member the last 3 Saturdays in Red...just to sit on our couch in our house and watch the game, but it's hard to go a Saturday in the Fall without some Husker apparel! In the last few weeks we have really found a nice groove and we are moving with it. Ry & I are working hard to keep up with both boys and also make time for each other which is much easier said than done. Every time you add a child or go through something big in life your marriage really has to adjust too, so between visitors and traveling and work and caring for the boys this Fall will be a lot of doing just that, adjusting!

There have been so many sweet moments where the 4 of us will just be sitting somewhere all interacting and I can't thank God enough for these boys. It is more than I even imagined all those months waiting for Sawyer to come! I am tired, & some days I feel like the laundry and cooking dinner is absolutely too much and is ruining my life, but most days just sitting feeding Bean & talking to Griff about robots, or cars, or monster trucks seems to be just the day I would have ordered if I was the one choosing from the menu! Thanks God!

Ryski & his boys reading some good night stories!

...on and on the topic of 2...is this pic too much or what??!

TOO cute, ok I am going overboard with the 2 theme, but when you're the mom it's your job to gush! His smile lights up our whole house, but it's only every once and while...can't wait until we can see it, and hear a little laugh to go along with it all the time!

Another thing that is too much for me?? My best friend from High School, Andrea just had a sweet sweet babe and Sawyer & Graham are less than 2 months apart! He is just the teeniest ball of delishiousness! I love it!

Is this Griff or what???

I wish they would have hired Griff to do this commercial....no acting necessary! I like to call it his enthusiasm for liife...others may call it something else...Love you big guy!

i.love.him.

Do I sometimes feel like Beanie is actually Griffin because there is no way G can be 3 years old?
A. yes

Was today the first first day of school for the rest of the years this little boy lives at my house?
A. yes

Was it a little hard for me to entrust him over to 2 ladies I barely know and drive away?
A. yes

Ahhhhh....but this is just the beginning of me letting go & and releasing him over to God, knowing he has an amazing plan for Griffin's life & is with him on each and every little step of his journey! The verse that is the theme for his preschool is:

Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

and I love that because that's really what Ry & I want to focus on as parents since majority of his life will be lived away from us! These precious years that we have together need to be impactful and a delicate balance of time with us creating a bond and a spring board so one day (that will come all too soon, i know:(!) he can jump out there on his own! So excited for him that his adventure started today!

Us getting in some family lovin before the day started, so glad that Ry could go in late to work so that he could come with us to drop Griffin off!

This kid loves his backpack!

Out in front before school...can you imagine that we were so early that no one else was there and we thought we came at the wrong time?? haha!

and in the car on the way home with fridge art...and we were late picking him up...he was one of the last kiddos there! I tried:)!

brothers

There is nothing like having a sibling...someone who shares all the same memories, gets the way your family works, understands all the weird things that make you tick, shares the same inside jokes from your childhood, laughs with you at the way your parents do certain things, loves certain foods because it reminds you both of your grandparents & is a bond that God willing spans your whole life. So happy now that these two have each other and really loving the bond that already seems to be growing! (I know bean appears to be crying in all of these pics but he truly does love his brother:)!!)

1 month of brotherhood

week 2: our first set of matching clothes

Week 1: on our blankies

and I just had to post this pic of brothers with brothers!

Grandma & Grandpa Sapp (Suzi's parents)

Grandma & Grandpa Benne (Lori's Parents)

Another amazing JOY of getting the chance to travel to Nebraska in August was sharing our boys with our extended family! The boys are lucky to have some great grandparents who love them!! They all had 4 kids, love Jesus & have been married a combined over 150 years! We are blessed to have their examples, support & wisdom! What a great legacy to continue as we raise our own lovies!

Kelly's walk down the isle!!

Isn't she lovely???
Here is my gorgeous sister in law on her BIG day!!
WOW!! This is the main event of our trip to Nebraska and it was grand!!
It really seems to me that these pictures can't quite be possible, as so much time has had to have passed to make them true! When Ry & I first started dating Kelly a freshman in high school and now she is married and living in the same apartment complex that Ry & I moved into when we first got married! She is an amazing woman and I couldn't be more blessed that as the years have gone by that we have become great friends and I truly think of her as a sister! Her wedding day was such a sweet day and was as delicious as the cake we had at the reception! We are so happy she found a Godly man who loves her to join the Eccleston clan!
Love you Kelly!

My adorable boys all dressed up wedding style!

This is Ryan's cousin Melissa who I heart! She is not only a great hair stylist, but amazing woman who I love getting to see!

Get ready for a heapin spoon full of adorable.....
Griffin with Marin and Finely....who he called "my girls" all night

family love....sigh...only lasts for about 1 fleeting moment and he's off...

The ceremony was outside and beautiful, I even caught a butterfly circling around Kelly & David for a while. The reception went flawlessly, and every little detail was done by my in laws who worked so hard to make this night awesome! G man wasn't thrilled about taking pictures and at one point ran away, climbed up a little rock wall and fell down in some shurbbery, but hey we can't win all the time, right?? He stayed relatively clean and loved the dancing late into the night!

Congrats Kelly & David Bebee, we love you! xoxo
